Build a More Inclusive Team

Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) training fosters a workplace culture that values diversity, promotes respect and an appreciation for differences. This can lead to improved employee performance, collaboration, and heightened cultural competence. Additionally, EDI training signals a commitment to inclusivity, attracting a diverse talent pool and improving employee retention, ultimately fostering greater job satisfaction and well-being.

This course is the first step to creating an inclusive workplace culture. Participants will learn about 2SLGBTQ+ communities, respectful terms of reference, and the challenges and inequities individuals who identify themselves as 2SLGBTQ+ face at work. The objective is for participants to gain foundational knowledge about open communication, and fostering an inclusive workplace where 2SLGBTQ+ individuals feel safe, supported, and respected.

Providing employees with unconscious bias training is a positive step toward creating a respectful, inclusive workplace culture. We each have unconscious biases and we take these biases to work with us. Left unaddressed, they undermine logical decision-making and contribute to a toxic workplace, where respect and opportunity are not equally distributed. This course will help learners deepen their understanding of unconscious biases and mitigate their effects in the workplace.
