Workplace Inspections & Incident Investigations

Workplace inspections and incident investigations are key elements of a strong and effective Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Program. By participating in this training course, learners will gain the skills to excel as inspectors and investigators, while also contributing to the tourism and hospitality industry's broader commitment to ensuring safer experiences for all.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

This training course is designed to help learners understand the key objectives of these processes and provide practical guidance on conducting thorough inspections and investigations to identify hazards, prevent incidents, and ensure a safer work environment in the future.

This course is primarily designed for joint health & safety committee (JHSC) members, including both employer and worker representatives, as well as worker health and safety representatives and other health and safety champions in the workplace, particularly those responsible for conducting workplace inspections and participating in incident investigations.

This training does not expire and is not transferable, however annual refresher training for how to conduct workplace inspections and participate in incident investigations is encouraged.

Recommended interface is a Windows environment using a high-speed internet connection (minimum 25Mbps) and a modern, standards-compliant web browser to view animations and HD video (Google Chrome is recommended).
