WHMIS
Description
Attention: This course has been updated to include the latest WHMIS Updates (dated December 2022). These changes have an implementation period of 3 years and must be adopted by December 14, 2025. Suppliers of hazardous materials are responsible for most of the changes, however, employers have a responsibility to update their training programs accordingly.
Hazardous products can cause injuries or diseases in workers. The goal of the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) is to provide workers with the information they need to stay safe on the job. What’s more, Canadian law requires that any person exposed to hazardous materials in the workplace must be trained in WHMIS.
