Course by: go2HR

SKU: 12724

Description

Building on Part 1: Safer Spaces for Supervisors – Introduction & Disclosures, this course provides foundational knowledge for responding to workplace sexual harassment complaints. Leaders will learn how to receive reports, conduct initial fact-finding and simple investigations, as well as how to write a simple report.

This course is Part 2 of a two-part series. We recommend completing Safer Spaces for Supervisors – Introduction & Disclosures before taking this course, as a prerequisite.

This course covers the following learning topics:
  1.  Review of Safer Spaces for Supervisors – Introduction & Disclosures course
  2.  Receiving and Responding to a Complaint of Sexual Harassment
  3.  Opening an Investigation
  4.  Conducting Interviews
  5.  Writing a Report & Concluding an Investigation

Please note: this course is not meant to take the place of week-long, official investigator training that currently exists for people regularly conducting complex investigations. This course is a primer of foundational background knowledge for leaders in positions who may receive reports of sexual harassment so that they may respond in a timely, trauma-informed way, with solid foundational knowledge of procedural fairness, of what goes into an investigation and writing a simple report. The course gives guidance on when to seek third party assistance from specially trained investigators and which types of situations typically lend themselves to conducting internal investigations.

Technical Requirements: Recommended interface is a Windows environment using a high-speed internet connection (minimum 25Mbps) and a modern, standards-compliant web browser to view animations and HD video (Google Chrome is recommended).
