Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) Annual Refresher
Course by: go2HR

Description
This interactive refresher course is designed to help Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) members strengthen both their foundational understanding and their practical application of committee responsibilities. Participants will revisit key elements such as meetings, inspections, incident investigations, and the right to refuse unsafe work — while exploring strategies to enhance participation, collaboration, and problem-solving within their committees.
Building on prior training, the course takes a deeper look at how committees can plan initiatives, engage with workers they represent, and contribute to a strong safety culture. Participants will also review recent regulatory changes and emerging health and safety trends to stay current and proactive in their role.
Through practical examples, reflection, and discussion, JHSC members will leave the session feeling more confident, informed, and equipped to make a positive impact on health and safety in their workplace.
